what choice you can have?

ever feel like you're being subtly pushed into a corner?
today there are so many browsers out there, yet it feels like the walls are closing in.
technically, almost everything runs on just two engines: chromium (the giant behind chrome and edge) and gecko, the lone rebel powering firefox. |

it’s a tiny world for such a big internet.

but here is the weird part.

i tried typing 'browser' in my windows start menu. look what i got as the result.

despite having chrome and firefox installed, windows only wanted to show me edge.

it’s like i'm in a room full of doors, but the landlord keeps painting over the ones he didn’t build.

it makes me think about how much control we actually have. we choose our "default," but the system has its own favorites. maybe we aren't really picking our tools anymore; we're just picking which skin to put on the engine someone else decided we should use. it’s a bit lonely, don’t you think? :)
